Joseph Malului

Joseph Malului is a passionate and committed mental health professional with over two decades of experience in counselling, education, and psychosocial support. He is a Registered Counsellor with the Ministry of Health (MoH) and an Affiliated Counsellor with the Kenya Counselling and Psychological Association (KCPA). Joseph believes in the power of empathy, self-awareness, and guided support to foster personal growth and emotional resilience.

He currently serves as a Counsellor at Pedcom Africa Consultancy Services, where he provides psychosocial support, career guidance, and personal mentorship to clients from diverse backgrounds. In his dual role as an academician and vocational lecturer in Special Needs Education (SNE) and counselling, Joseph integrates emotional intelligence with practical teaching approaches to support inclusive learning and holistic development.

Joseph’s counselling approach is grounded in evidence-based techniques, cultural sensitivity, and ethical practice. He creates safe, non-judgmental spaces where individuals feel heard, respected, and empowered to navigate life’s challenges and discover meaningful paths forward.

Holding a PhD in Counselling, Joseph is passionate about integrating research and real-world application in his work. His leadership style is shaped by clarity, compassion, and a belief in each person’s capacity for growth and transformation when given the right support.
